My brother-in-law came upon a
dead pecan tree that was on some land that he was clearing.
Knowing that I would just love to have some of the wood, he saved
the trunk for me, and he had someone saw it into lumber. He didn't
know exactly how big to cut the boards, so he had it all cut into
2 x 4's, Well, that was a little narrower than I would have liked,
but I couldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Here are the
natural bowls that I have turned from the wood so far. There are
so many that I decided to make a separate page just for them (the
segmented ones are on my "Segmented Bowls" page). This
page allows you to see just how different wood can be even coming
from the same tree.
